    The world-famous ’Mangalica pig’ is an indigenous Hungarian breed of pigs with curly bristles and lop-ears.
    Handwoven tapestries from Heves is a traditional type of textile of peasant lifestyle, typical of Hungary’s North-East region. Up to the present, in villages of Átány, Bodony, Heves, Mátraderecske and Recsk these that meet today’s demands, still preserving the original motives. Traditionally, tapestries are decorated by red or red-blue lately by green and yellow cotton yarn. They are patterned by paralell stripes, occasionally with stylized flower ornaments in between.
